Sat - Feb 18, 2006 - Oz Gutsche Collection
After lunch at Bahama Breeze long time Ferrari Club members Oz and Jeanne Gutsche very generously invited everyone over to their home to tour their garages and view his very extensive auto collection. Their home in an exclusive gated community features attached garages on both sides of the house connected by a circular drive. The European cars are on one side, and the American cars are on the other. Oz's collection includes a Testarossa, a number of vintage Porsches, and a few Mercedes Benz. The other garage houses a large number of vintage Detroit autos including Oz's first car, a straight eight, a woody and a number of rare and beautifully restored Cadillacs. Oz does the restorations himself. From here we drove to Lamborghini of Las Vegas, and then to Bob and Ellen Lebenson's home. Happy Birthday Bob! See the pics...

Sat - Feb 18 - Penske-Wynn Tech Session
Penske-Wynn Ferrari Tech Session. Kevin Taylor at Penske-Wynn Ferrari scheduled a Tech Session for us starting promptly at 9:00 am. There was indoor parking for our cars, so we brought our Ferraris and other exotics. We met outside the dealership at the service parking area (which is located at the hotel main entrance) and then moved our cars downstairs. This event was certainly one of the best as Kevin Taylor showed us what to look for in a pre-purchase inspection. There are over 100 items that are checked in order to certify a car. Penske-Wynn Ferrari provided a continental breakfast. We had an excellent showing of support for the event with a hugh turnout. Of course, everyone was invited to visit the showroom and the pre-owned showroom after the tech session. After the event we headed over to Bahama Breeze for lunch at Paradise and East Flamingo, followed by a casual city drive. There was an invitation in the mail that went out to all members, so we were able to show them our appreciation with a large attendance. See the pics...

Sun - Jan 22, 2006 - Bugatti Unveiling
Lamborghini Las Vegas invited the Ferrari Club to the Las Vegas unveiling of the Bugatti Veyron. Most attendees agreed that the Veyron looks even better in person than in photos. Welcome to the height of high-performance! The Bugatti Veyron’s 16-cylinder monster engine produces 1001 horsepower for a top speed of more than 250 mph. The French Bugatti Veyron is now considered the fastest production car in the world, narrowly edging out the Swedish Koenigsegg. The Bugatti was started up in the showroom, and many of us got an opportunity to acquaint ourselves with the cockpit. Most interesting was the gauge on far left side of the dash that measures horsepower up to 1001 HP! At $1.2 million it's a super sportscar, and very luxuriously appointed. see the pics...
