Dali Racing NSX Group http://www.daliracing.com
Spring Mountain Motor Park in Pahrump, NV

Dali Racing sponsored this event for Acura NSX owners and also extended an invitation to our club as well as the local Porsche Club and a few other local clubs and driving enthusiasts. Those Hondas really move! This event brought out some very fast cars including some turbo charged and supercharged NSX monsters as well as a couple of Vipers, some awesome Porsches, and a very fast Lambo. $150 per driver bought substantial track time in two run groups, and they even allowed proficient drivers to run both groups if they chose to do so. That equated to a tremendous amount of track time for the buck! Thank you Mark Johnson! If the track bug bites you, don't miss their upcoming events. Visit the gallery for more pics.

The Lakes Festival of Lights Car Show

Our December event coincided with "The Lakes Festival of Lights" Car Show in The Lakes Community near Sahara and Durango. The car show organizers are delighted that we came to display our Ferraris. In addition to the car show the Festival had music, dance, theater, arts & crafts, food from Outback, and a lighted boat parade that evening. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman served as Grand Marshal, and Clint Holmes performed live in concert. We brought an unwrapped toy for the Marine's Toys For Tots donation program. Join us in welcoming new member Paul Hesselgesser and his wife Shawna. Paul brought his beautiful yellow 360 Modena to the show and won a trophy first time out. As a matter of fact, many of us took home trophies. Rumor has it that Paul found the club through the website. We also met Gary's wife Leah Shaw who came to her first Ferrari event. Look for more smiling pics in the gallery.

Lake Las Vegas Lunch Tour at Como's Steakhouse

Despite inclement weather early on, 16 enthusiasts showed up for a damp start to this event. We met at 10:00 AM at the Morgan Stanley Parking Lot (on the north side of 215 opposite the Green Valley Ranch Casino) behind Claim Jumper Restaurant for the start of the arrive & drive. We headed east for a grand tour of beautiful Lake Meade and then turned towards Lake Las Vegas. We wound around the village and then parked at Montelago Village in a special designated mall area adjacent to Como's Steakhouse where we enjoyed a nice luncheon. Como's is situated directly behind Montelago Casino in the charming Village of Montelago. Protected parking for our Ferrari group was on the cobblestone mall adjacent to the restaurant. Some club members showed up in other marques to avoid the wet conditions. Join us in welcoming new members Gordon Tronson and friend Karen Jorgensen who invited everyone to their home afterwards to view the extensive murals at their home where their artist-in-residence has been painting over the last year and a half. So the party moved from Como's to their house. Also join us in welcoming new member David Mumford and his wife Linda. David brought his beautiful Testarossa, but experienced electrical difficulty before starting the tour. Fortunately his friend accompanied us in her car so they were able to accompany the group. Gordon also owns a red Testarossa and graciously assisted David with his car afterwards. Look for pics in the gallery.

Mt. Charleston Lunch Tour
We brought several Ferraris and one Lamborghini Jalpa for a grand tour of beautiful Mt. Charleston. We met at 10:30 AM at the Santa Fe Station Casino parking lot for the start of the drive and our procession of Ferraris then headed north to an altitude of nearly 8,000 feet to the Lee Canyon Area of Mt. Charleston. The scenery was beautiful and the roads were clear of snow. We arrived at the Mt. Charleston Lodge at the end of Route 157 around noon. The restaurant and lounge offers everything you will ever need to enjoy beautiful views of the Mountain. The lodge sits where the road ends at 7,717 feet above sea level, where we enjoyed a light lunch overlooking the cars. In warmer weather there is also dining on the deck overlooking beautiful Kyle Canyon. There are trails nearby for hikers (some even lead to seasonal waterfalls) looking to get some exercise before or after a hearty meal from the menu. Join us in welcoming new members Gregg Giuffria, wife April and son Baron Giuffria who joined his father at the Santa Fe Casino in their new red 360 Modena. See the gallery for some beautiful shots of the tour and some scenic views of Mt Charleston.

Oktoberfest Car Show & Lunch at Steiner's Tavern II

This was our informal Events Planning Meeting session to plan our Holiday Party and to determine the type of events we were most interested in for 2004. We lined up our prancing horses in front of this upscale Summerlin establishment and went in for lunch. Join us in welcoming new members J.T. Moran III, wife Jodi and Joel Laub who we met at Steiners. J.T. Moran brought his beautiful new black Modena Spyder. See the gallery for pictures.

Annual Fun Rally at Einstein Brother's Bagels
The Las Vegas Region Porsche Club of America invited us to come to a TSD/Fun Rally. This year Porsche invited the BMW, Mercedes, Corvette, Viper and Ferrari Clubs. We socialized with enthusiasts from the other clubs in town and admired their cars. First place in the individual class went to Jerry Muench, a former Viper Club President. The Nevada Region Viper Club of America won the overall team trophy, but also had the "most penalized" car in the rally. Zuzana Kukol won handcuffs for being the fastest (since police didn't arrest her) even though she said she "really tried to be SLOW". Check out the gallery for more pictures of the event.

F1 Brunch at Nikki Lee's All-Star Sports Pub & Grille

The Ferrari Club of Las Vegas get-together at Nikki Lees was a resounding success. A full room of enthusiasts were in attendance to watch Michael Schumacher win a record six Formula One World Championships for Ferrari. The food was good, and the company was excellent. Approximately a dozen Ferrari models were on display, and attracted much attention from spectators. A good time was had by all! See the gallery for more pictures of the event.
