Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch and
The Pahrump Valley Winery Restaurant were the destinations for our annual tour to Pahrump for highspeed track sessions and
also wine tasting and luncheon for some of us at Symphony's Restaurant
at the Pahrump Winery. Spring Mountain held an Open House over the weekend and invited the Ferrari Club to participate.
We brought our Ferraris and other exotics and track cars, and got plenty of track time in 3 run groups.
This event had something for everyone: a scenic drive through the mountains,
as much track time as we wanted on the expanded road course, free lunch at the track, and some of us spent
the afternoon wine tasting and dining at Pahrump's only 4 star restaurant. Many thanks to track owner John Morris,
here seen with his Radical race car licensed for the street, and his partner and brother-in-law Brad Rambo (to John's right)
for inviting us. Chief Instructor Dave Roberts ran a terrific event, and Donna
(seen here on the right) has our thanks for scheduling it. Many thanks also to some other
Spring Mountain personnel from left to right:
Director of Marketing Trasi Pillman, General Manager Dave Petrie, Janet Curran from California, and Jerra Morris who is John’s wife.
We would also like to extend a really big thanks to our Las Vegas FCA President Jim Navarro
for organizing this great event, here seen giving people rides in his third Lotus, a very rare 1999 light weight track car.
During the lunch break we sampled the complimentary barbeque and witnessed a little impromptu airshow as
owner John Morris and friends gave us a flying exhibition in his helicopter. Check out the spectator reaction as his airplane took off
from the racetrack and then buzzed the pit area.
The track event was free for FCA members, and everyone had a great time. There was a ladies-only session enjoyed
by Ferrari Club Members Debra Bieniek, Dana Linderer, Marti Ashcraft
and Amy Allen as demonstrated by the videos below.
Please join us in welcoming new members Brandon Hughes and Amy Allen and her son Austin, and also new members
Zach and Evon Harrison. Many thanks go to Carla Lindert and to Don Cramer for the fabulous photos.
